Visit from Sri Lanka – Prof. Ekanayake visits CoSES

Prof. Janaka Ekanayake from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, will visit the MEP on Thursday, June 18, 2026. He is director of the AI Research Centre of the University of Peradeniya and his research focuses on topics such as power electronic applications for power systems, renewable energy generation, Smart Grids, agrovoltaics and AI applications in the power system. At MEP, he will discuss energy topics as well as possible collaborations with the CoSES team and our director Prof. Hamacher. Join us at 1 pm for Prof. Ekanayake’s talk on “Harnessing AI for a Sustainable Energy Future”.
