Deep-water floating wind farms for clean, affordable and abundant renewable hydrogen production

The chair of wind energy is taking part in the EU funding scheme “Next generation of renewable energy technologies”

With the confirmed partners DTU Wind Energy and TU Delft, the Chair of Wind Energy has submitted a project proposal for sustainable hydrogen production with floating offshore wind farms. The aim of the project is to design wind turbines for low-cost hydrogen production for the "European Hydrogen Backbone". For this purpose, technical, economic, legal, social and environmental impacts of the proposed design on the existing infrastructure will be analyzed.
