The Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy and Process Engineering (MEP) is pleased to welcome Prof. Mostafa Safdari Shadloo to the institute. Since September 2015, Prof. Safdari Shadloo has been an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Rouen and Deputy Director at the CORIA Lab (CNRS-UMR 6614). He will complete his three-month research fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG) at MEP starting in February 2026.
Prof. Safdari Shadloo is internationally recognized in the field of numerical fluid mechanics, particularly in multiphase flows, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). His research combines fundamental modeling with highly scalable simulation methods and is applied to energy and materials processes as well as industrial flow systems.
During his stay, he will collaborate closely with PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Stefan Adami. MEP looks forward to scientific exchange, joint impulses and the integration of his expertise into institute-wide research activities.
