Project completion of ADAPT-H2-Tanks: CFRP demonstrator ready for final testing

Innovative hydrogen storage is taking shape: As part of the ADAPT-H2-Tanks project, LCC has successfully completed a research demonstrator of a space-adapted CFRP hydrogen tank. The tank will now be sent to project partner Floteks in Türkiye for the final hydroburst test—an important step towards evaluating the novel tank concept.

As part of the ADAPT-H2-Tanks project, a research demonstrator of a conformable CFRP hydrogen tank has been completed at the LCC.

To conclude the project, the demonstrator will now be shipped to our project partner Floteks in Türkiye, where it will be evaluated in a hydroburst test. This marks the completion of the demonstrator development and manufacturing activities and provides the basis for the final assessment of the tank concept.
