TUM.Hydrogen & PtX Network visits the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management: Insights into cutting-edge hydrogen research
TUM.PtX News |
On April 24, the TUM.Hydrogen & PtX Network gathered for an on-site meeting at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management. The event focused on exciting insights into current research activities in the field of hydrogen technologies.
Among other topics, the iwb presented work on hydrogen storage tanks, additive manufacturing approaches for hydrogen turbines, and laser-based manufacturing processes for electrolyzer components. These examples highlighted how advanced production technologies can significantly contribute to the further development of hydrogen applications.
Following the presentations, participants were given a guided tour of the institute, offering deeper insights into its research infrastructure. In addition to the new dryroom for battery production, a wide range of manufacturing technologies and facilities were showcased.
The meeting concluded in a relaxed atmosphere over traditional Bavarian Weißwurst and pretzels, where potential collaboration opportunities were discussed and new connections were established.
A sincere thank you to the iwb for the invitation and for providing such engaging and practice-oriented insights into their current research.
