At this year's Battery Forum, the Poster Prize went to the Technische Universität München. Robert Morasch from the Department of Technical Electrochemistry won the prize over € 1,000 for his contribution Detection of Binder Migration using Impedance Spectroscopy and its Influence on the Tortuosity of Li_Ion Battery Electrodes.

In addition, numerous other research and project results were presented by TUM scientists both in the exhibition and in the auditorium (e.g. by EES, iwb, ACNM, TEC, MLZ / FRMII).

About 340 participants visited the three-day Battery Forum from 23 to 25 January 2019 in Berlin, which took place for the seventh time. The Battery Forum is organised by the KLiB (Competence Network Lithium Ion Batteries), which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Federal Minister Karliczek announced more budget for battery research during the first forum day: 500 million euros are to be invested in the next four years. This is to enable the construction of a battery cell production in Germany, which is followed by the concept of the "research factory battery".

The minister's speech can be found here.

More about the research factory she announced can be found in this overview.
