As part of the Innovate UK Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) “Hydrogen in Transport,” a delegation of industry and research representatives visited the TUM.H2 & PtX Network at the Technical University of Munich. The Chair of Energy Systems (LES) hosted and organised the visit, offering the delegation insights into current research projects and technological developments across the hydrogen value chain.
During the technical session, the Chair of Energy Systems presented several ongoing projects and focus areas, including:
- High-temperature fuel cells for high-pressure applications, presented by Sören Ohmstedt
- The H2 Living Lab Burghausen, introduced by Svenja Knösch
- Hydrogen-based alternative fuels for aircraft turbines, explained by Alexander Rabl
- The Crying-Truck project on hydrogen logistics for road transport, presented by Alexander Stary
The delegation expressed strong interest in the technological approaches and interdisciplinary work within the TUM.H2 & PtX Network. The visit provided a valuable platform for discussing shared research challenges and exploring potential future collaborations, particularly in light of upcoming Horizon Europe funding opportunities.
