The annual meeting of the TUM.H2 & PtX Network took place on 1 October 2025, in the seminar room of the IGGSE at the Garching Research Campus. Under the direction of Dr. Sebastian Fendt, representatives from ten chairs and institutes across various Schools and Departments of TUM came together to discuss current research topics, projects, and the strategic development of the network.
The TUM.H2 & PtX Network is an interdisciplinary initiative at TUM dedicated to fostering cooperation and jointly implementing innovative ideas in the fields of hydrogen and Power-to-X technologies. Its goal is to connect the university’s diverse expertise and create synergies in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer.
During the meeting, participating chairs presented their hydrogen-related research activities from the past months, including technological developments, new projects, and interdisciplinary approaches.
In addition, the meeting featured the network’s admission to “Hydrogen Europe Research,” a European research association for hydrogen technologies, as well as the presentation of the planned EuroTech Winterschool hosted by the Chair of Energy Systems. The Winterschool, titled “Hydrogen Meets Carbon,” will offer students and early-career researchers the opportunity to engage internationally and explore hydrogen and Power-to-X topics in greater depth.
To conclude the event, participants discussed measures to enhance the visibility and strategic positioning of the network. Following the official program, there was an opportunity for further networking and exchange among participants.
