In the study, the authors present a comprehensive analysis of the dynamic resistance behavior of the solid electrolyte interface (SEI). The results of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements on Cu foil indicate that the SEI exhibits a potential-dependent resistance, which can be attributed to a change in the charge carriers (Li+) in the SEI. Additional measurements on graphite demonstrate a comparable phenomenon, allowing for the separation of the kinetics of charge transfer from the SEI resistance. This substantiates the assertion that the SEI resistance is the predominant resistance in the graphite kinetics.
