The TUM.Hydrogen and PtX network recently met for its monthly meeting at the Chair of Energy Systems (CES), underlining the importance of close cooperation between the different chairs at TUM. The meeting took place at the Garching Research Center and served to exchange knowledge and expertise.
Thereby, the LES presented its experimental facilities and pilot plants to the attending PhD students. Among other things, the facilities for gasification of biomass and residues, as well as the high-temperature fuel and electrolysis laboratories were visited. One focus of the work at CES is plasma-assisted gasification, as well as the production of carbon-based hydrogen derivatives. Here, rSOC technology can be used to integrate hydrogen into the system, or to convert sustainable synthesis gas into electricity in fuel cell mode. The event underscores the commitment to foster a deeper understanding of hydrogen and power-to-X technologies through interdisciplinary collaboration.
