Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) focuses on battery production

Battery cells have been researched at the iwb since 2010. In 2014, a complete research production line for lithium-ion cells was set up in this context. This set the course for research in the field of battery production at the TUM. Starting in July 2019, the new Topic Group for Battery Production with 11 employees will focus on the same goals that the German government is pursuing - strengthening tomorrow's battery research and production.
