In this publication Li3AlP2 and Li3GaP2 are introduced as two new representatives of lithium phosphidotrielates and characterized structurally. These compounds show, unlike the earlier this year published Li9AlP4, which is a promising solid state lithium ion conductor with a room temperature conductivity of 3 mScm-1, pure semiconducting properties.
