Research assistants and students from our institute collaborated within one week in a hackathon to enhance our in-house compressible flow solver ALPACA, focusing on numerical stability, performance, and usability. We addressed optimization issues and implemented new algorithms through intensive collaboration and experimentation. The hackathon fostered teamwork and innovation, improving our code's efficiency, reliability, and usability. Within this event, we advanced our programming skills and initiated the continual and future enhancement of our flow solver.
