Kickoff meeting for the joint project Synergyfuels successful (CTV)

TUM.PtX News |

The project SynergyFuels to develop an integrated refinery concept for the production of renewable fuels from biogenic residues started in January 2023. The kickoff meeting took place at the TUM Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability in April.

In January 2023, the joint project SynergyFuels, funded by the Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V., started. In this, an integrated refinery concept for the production of renewable fuels is to be developed and demonstrated on a pilot plant scale, which combines thermochemical, electrochemical, and biotechnological processes. The use of biogenic residues is combined with both Power-to-X processes and carbon capture/storage. The CTV is active as a project coordinator and in process development and demonstration.

In April 2023, the kick-off meeting took place at the TUM Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability in Straubing. In addition to the project-internal presentation and coordination, the two-day event also focused on the early integration of the industrial advisory board into the progress of the project.
