The Technical University of Munich is showing its commitment to a sustainable future through Sustainability Day 2024, which has the motto “We walk the talk”. On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, we will mobilize the diverse resources of our entire university community in the area of sustainability. Our goal is not just to talk about sustainability, but to actively live and promote it.

- Lecture-free from 12 p.m.: The day is counted as working time.
- Insight into current research projects: Find out more about innovative approaches and projects running at TUM.
- Networking opportunities: Meet like-minded people and discuss the challenges and solutions in the area of sustainability.
- Interactive workshops and lectures: Get actively involved and contribute your ideas.
The Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy and Process Engineering (MEP) will have two stands at the TUM Sustainability Day 2024:
At the first stand, the Geothermal Alliance Bavaria will show how innovative technologies can contribute to generating energy from the earth.
Our Center for Combined Smart Energy Systems (CoSES) introduces itself at the second stand: The CoSES Research Center is a laboratory environment that replicates a small local energy system (microgrid) and is therefore a test environment with realistic conditions for the heating, cooling, traffic and subsystems creates electricity.
There will also be two guided tours of the laboratory at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - the meeting point is the foyer of the ZEI building, Lichtenbergstraße 4 a, 85748 Garching.
