Startschuss für das zentrale Zellkulturlabor

Am Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy and Process Engineering (MEP) entsteht ein hochmodernes, digitales Zellkulturlabor. Die neue Infrastruktur steht künftig allen TUM-Mitgliedern offen: vom Screening bis zum Scale-up in den 200-L-Maßstab. Damit schaffen wir eine zentrale Plattform für wegweisende Forschung und Entwicklung an der TUM.

Warum ist das wichtig? Zellkulturbioprozesse sind entscheidend für die Herstellung innovativer Biopharmazeutika sowie für die Entwicklung nachhaltiger Nahrungsquellen. Unser Konzept eines digital vernetzten Labors wird wesentlich dazu beitragen, die Produktionsprozesse neuartiger Biopharmazeutika zu intensivieren. Modellierungsansätze, prozessanalytische Technologien und Automatisierung spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle, um die effiziente, robuste und skalierbare Bioprozessierung sicherzustellen.
