Liebe MEP-Core-Member, TUM-Forscher und Studierende,
Sie sind herzlich eingeladen, an unserer kommenden Vortragsreihe „New Horizons in Materials, Energy, and Process Engineering“ teilzunehmen, die vom Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy and Process Engineering (MEP) veranstaltet wird.
In dieser Reihe werden Referenten aus der Industrie und führenden Universitäten Einblicke in Themen dieser interdisziplinären Forschungsbereiche geben.
Unser vorerst letzter Vortrag wird sich mit dem Thema befassen:
“Computational Fluid Dynamics in Process Engineering”
präsentiert von Maria Magdalena Jarczyk und Sebastian Ulmer, Linde GmbH
Abstract:
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a powerful tool for engineering design, optimization, and troubleshooting. At Linde Engineering we design and execute process plants. An important aspect of our work is the simulation and modelling of fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena. We arecovering various applications and technologies, from investigations of small details to dispersion analysis around whole plants and from classical ethylene cracking to a wide range of hydrogen applications. Our customer tailored solutions help our clients achieve improved performance, safety, and efficiency in their processes and products. The CFD team at Linde Engineering is a group of dedicated experts with deep knowledge in thermodynamic modelling and CFD. In our presentation we share some of the challenges that we have overcome with modelling approaches of different complexity level, showing our flexibility and innovation in this field.
